This month, GO Sleeves is paying tribute to the extraordinary all-star moms this Mother's Day who embody strength, grace, and determination, whether they're dominating their individual sport, or scoring points in the game of life.
Leka Fineman
Leka is an accomplished CrossFit champion and mother of two. She has had an incredible journey having never competed in CrossFit until the age of 40. She made it all the way to the CrossFit Games - and WON! Leka is a wellness and strength coach, athlete, author, on top of being a mom.
Dreama Walton
Whether it’s running ultras, scaling mountains, or hiking with her daughter, Dreama has a love for adventure and squeezing the most out of life. She finds the inspiration to help others through her non-profit organization, Dreama Team Way. As a mother herself, she understands the impact, sacrifice, and commitment it takes to “do it all”.
Another Mother Runner's Founders, Sarah and Dimity
Sarah Bowen Shea - Another Mother Runner, Chief Brand Director
"My 'kids' are now in college, yet my strategy remains the same as when they were little: to make time for my workouts and sporty endeavors (hello, pickleball!) because I am a better mother and a better human being once I have had a good sweat. The same goes for self-care and recovery, like doing PT exercises and wearing my GO Sleeves knee sleeve when the miles and games take their toll."
Dimity Walton - Another Mother Runner, Chief Training Director
"My long-time motto is 'don't think; just go'. Translation: turn off my head and just get my body moving. It applies to both the toddler and teenager stages of motherhood, as well as. things like a messy house or tight work deadlines. If I simply get moving-could be a run, a walk, a yoga session, a strength circuit-for twenty of thirty minutes, I return feeling more focused, positive, patient, and productive. It never fails."
Beverly Williams - Founder of "I am 1 of 8 Foundation"
Beverly with her husband, Byron Williams, Former NFL Wide Receiver, GO Sleeves Partner and Investor
In April 2018, Beverly was diagnosed with stage 2 Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) after numerous doctors stating her growths were all benign tumors. Triple Negative Breast Cancer is an aggressive form of breast cancer that mostly affects African American women and women of color. After 16 rounds of chemo, surgery, 20 rounds of radiation and 6 months of an oral chemo pill, Beverly has been cancer free since 2018!
“Breast cancer has truly changed my life in many positive ways. I did not choose breast cancer, it chose me. Therefore, I choose to spend the rest of my life bringing awareness and support to others who are going through this disease.”
One of the ways Beverly manages the pain from her various surgeries is with GO Sleeves K-Recover Cream. She applies it to her hands and wrist, and it has been the first “treatment” to make any substantial impact on managing her symptoms.
Beverly is celebrating her 6th year cancer-free, and began the “I am 1 of 8” Foundation to help raise awareness and support for other patients and survivors.
