In a continued effort helping people climb their mountain, we are excited to announce that GO Sleeves adaptive athlete champion and partner, Zachary Friedley, is joining the Range of Motion Project (ROMP) in its 8th and largest ever Climbing for ROMP campaign, September 24 – October 8, 2022. ROMP is striving to raise $150,000 to fund high-quality prosthetic care and services to 100 ROMP patients and raise awareness around the unequal distribution of assistive devices.
Every year, ROMP brings together amputee and non-amputee athletes from North and South America to climb Ecuador’s 19,347-foot active volcano, Cotopaxi. The 2022 team includes cancer survivor and para-triathlete Kyle Stepp, GO Sleeves professional trail runner and adaptive athlete Zach Friedley, three-time Paralympic gold medalist Brenna Huckaby, ROMP athletes Caitlin Conner, Heidi Strickler, and many more. Since 2005, ROMP has conducted over 12,000 patient visits and has delivered over 4,200 custom-made prosthetic devices in Guatemala, Ecuador, and the U.S.
Providing high-quality prosthetic care to those in need, ROMP's non-profit sets up mobile clinics to deliver new devices and make adjustments for patients in Ecuador, Guatemala, and the United States.
GO Sleeves has a passionate interest in enabling people to climb their mountains. We’ve provided products to the climbers to help them be at the top of their game as they prepare and attempt to summit Cotopaxi. Born to Adapt filmmaker Evan Staley will join Zach to document his climb and capture how the athletes are using their GO Sleeves.
Let’s get the word out to support Zach and his personal goal of raising $7,000 for the campaign. Join the cause and donate.
